Our history begins in 18th century Bavaria, when Blessed Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger and the women who joined her sought, through education, to transform their society by teaching the values, skills and knowledge that young girls needed to become good mothers and productive members of society. |
Our charism is the particular way we live our shared Christian call to further the reign of God. It is based on our conviction that the world can be transformed through the transformation of persons. |
Our ministries, supported by prayer and community life, focus on education in its many forms in schools, parishes, social justice advocacy, and everyday one-on-one interactions. We are educators in all we are and do. |
