Introduction to SSND

About 30 years ago I met my first School Sister of Notre Dame . It was at a St. Joseph ’s spirituality weekend for the over forties. I met Sister Norma then, a very quiet, soft-spoken woman with a beautiful smile and she listened. It was her example, she knew where she was going and from then on, she was special to me.

Blessed Theresa

I think Blessed Theresa is a great woman in many, many ways. I would say her determination and her love for her Sisters come out very strong in her writings.

The Associate Relationship

We have monthly meetings and I enjoy being with the Sisters and the laywomen very much. I am a better person because of them.

Being an associate has helped me be more aware of others, of setting a good example and helping and supporting whenever I can. The Sisters and associates have been a Godsend in my life. We have our differences, true, but we work at the relationship.
