PIANO LESSONS AND MUSIC RUDIMENTS

Sister Mary Jane Berges provides lessons in piano and music rudiments at the Motherhouse.

Music lessons at Notre Dame are 40 minutes long. Students learn on a beautiful grand piano. Two recitals are held each year: in December and June.

Students can participate in the Rotary Music Festival in Burlington and can take Royal Conservatory of Toronto exams in piano and rudiments.

Students come from Waterdown, Carlisle, Burlington and Hamilton. They range in age from seven to twenty.

Why study music?

Involvement with music reinforces Important characteristics such as self-discipline, creativity, concentration, responsibility, commitment to a goal, poise and an appreciation of all that is beautiful. It also results in a sense of self-esteem.

For more information, please contact S. Mary Jane Berges .
