Sister Alfreda's ministry is one of community service to the Sisters who live at the motherhouse in Waterdown.

“My ministry reflects the charism of Blessed Theresa by my listening and openness, not only to the word of God and God's loving inspirations, but also by my listening and openness to all my Sisters to whom I minister.

“Is it presumptuous of me to say that my ministry is being Christ-like? I see this Christ-like attitude in my daily encounters with my sisters and all I meet, whether I am writing a letter for a Sister, watering a plant, making a serious decision or chatting with a visitor.

“We are all in a life-long process of development of being and yet becoming. It's a great help to realize that not only do I do this in my ministry, but that all of us together help each other!”
