Prayer: A Major Part of our Life Prayer is an important part of life for each School Sister of Notre Dame. Several of our Sisters in North America offer prayer reflections on-line. Ask for Prayer Notre Dame Convent in Waterdown, Ontario is the home of many of our retired Sisters. With active minds and grace-filled spirits, they continue their journey of personal growth, development and life-long learning. These Sisters, having faithfully responded to God's call in a variety of ministries over the years, remain active in our SSND mission by their witness to fidelity and joyful commitment. In their closeness to God, they are our “powerhouse of prayer.” We turn to them, asking them to remember our intentions before God.
