Women today make their own choices concerning career, marriage and religious life.  You probably have heard the reasons for choosing a career and marriage.  Why would you choose to become a woman religious?

There is a need in our world for the witness of women who are willing to give their lives to God by living a vowed life in community.

The School Sisters of Notre Dame are an international community of over 4,400 women with Sisters ministering in more than 35 countries.  We dedicate our lives to bringing God's love to the lives we touch through our daily work and community life. We are making a difference in our world.

Consider these questions:

• Do you want to search for God through prayer in community?
• Do you want to join with other consecrated women to make a difference in the lives of women, children and those who are poor?
• Do you value a simple lifestyle, freeing you to focus your energies on enabling others to reach the fullness of their potential while being supported by community?
• Do you want to focus your life and use your gifts and talents to promote the values of Jesus in community?
• Do you want to work as a missionary to other cultures and on other continents, helping individuals find their sense of self-worth and become self-reliant while living in and being supported by community?
